I am hoping to buy a Macintosh after I graduate! My current computers (Desktop and Notebook) are both quite old and aren’t going to last much longer. I work them very hard! My desktop was refurbished and customized about five years ago from a friend who was moving away. I am pretty sure the parts were ordered separately and it was assembled by hand. It’s not name brand in any way. I have upgraded bits and pieces since then but not the operating system. It has been very finicky lately and sometimes won’t even boot! Very frustrating. My laptop is a bit newer (two years old). I believe it is also refurbished although I bought it from Staples. Recently the wireless quit working. Arg! I guess if I want it fixed I have to send it in and get the motherboard replaced…what a pain. So I’ve been plugging it in with Ethernet. I might look into getting a wireless expansion card – maybe that will work. Anywhoo – the point is – pc’s have been kind to me but it is time to get something serious. After using the Macs on campus I have basically fallen in love with them.
